Feeling AWESOME!

Just got an email from my aunty about making a change and doing a 10k walk. One of my goals for years now has been to run a marathon. Well, today I can actually see the light at the end of the tunnel for next year 2010. After walking off and on since last year, I felt so good today that I went out for a run. More like jogging at this point. I only had to stop once and walked for about 5 minutes, and then off I went again. 30 minutes later I had run about 2 1/2 miles. Now, that’s exciting for me because I hadn’t done that in a quite a while. The most I’d ever built up to was a 7 mile run about 4 years ago. So, here we go again.

A big part of my feeling great today is because it’s day 10 of a lemon cleanse I’ve been doing. It’s easy, inexpensive and goes from 10-40 days. The hard part is the temptation to eat the easily available and accessible cookies, brownies, cheese cake, hamburgers, etc. - even just regular food and drink.

Ok, this all started about 2 weeks ago when I heard of a lady who does zone balance. I was told that she works on your feet and can tell you specifically what is going on in the inside of your body. So, I decided to give it a try and while my feet were being worked on she’d say things like, “now I’m working on…” this or that. The sore or painful parts of my feet indicated how bad a problem was in a particular part of my body.  One of the things she told me was that I was having digestion problems and that there was a huge build up of toxins in my colon. This confirmed what I was thinking. It’s incredible that the feet can tell you a great deal if you listen to them. Mine had been numb and tingling and sore…basically not good for running a marathon.

Anyway, the lady suggested the lemon cleanse and I had just finished another detox, that I paid $85 for, that really did not “go the distance” for me. However, this one was free except for the cost of what I needed to buy from the store. Here it is in a nutshell: each morning do salt water first thing in the morning (1 qt water w/2 tsp. salt), later do lemon water throughout the day (2 TBS lemon juice and 2 TBS pure maple syrup in water, about 16 oz). I doubled it in 1 qt of water and took it 4 times plus the salt water each day. You need a lot of water.  Be sure that the salt is natural, the juice is only from a real orange that you squeeze (not the juice that comes in bottles) and the maple syrup is pure. I used Redmond Real Salt - ancient all natural sea salt, Log Cabin - 100% pure maple syrup, and, of course, real oranges.

Well, I felt better from that first treatment. Turns our that foot zone balancing or foot zoning is a great alternative method to rejuvenate and repair the body. Also, now that I am at day 10 of the cleanse I feel great and highly recommend both zoning and the cleanse. I’ll have to get the lady’s name and health websites she referred me to when I go back for my 2nd visit.

In the end, having good health affects the quality of your life. So, enjoy it and make it great! Congratulation for your efforts to improve your health so far…it’s worth it.

p.s. I forgot to mention, the salt water goes right through you so be prepared to visit the bathroom frequently in the morning.

Death and Taxes

According to some, you are guaranteed these two things in life. So, as long as you are breathing…have you done your taxes yet? We did ours and it was easy with some help from Cindy Hare at the local Jackson Hewitt office. Did I say that we did ours? Well, actually, Cindy did them for us. Getting it done was super simple in that we just called, made an appointment, took our documents in and answered the appropriate questions. She did the rest. Later, that same day, we got a call from Cindy to tell us that a check was ready for us to be picked up. We had been approved for a refund anticipation loan that quick. Now that is what I call great service. We are obviously Cindy’s happy customers and would recommend her tax preparation. Actually, we have been going to her year after year and it’s good to know that we have the Jackson Hewitt company behind us if there were to be any problems. So far, nothing, no problems! I used to prepare my own taxes before and was not quite sure about the forms, state and federal, etc. It was stressful. Cindy’s tax preparation saves time and worry for me; which is really important because I rather be doing a thousand other things. Now, that it has been over 5 years with Jackson Hewitt, I have finally decided to take them up on the “Refer-A-Friend Program” and get paid $20 for each new customer that did not have their taxes prepared at Jackson Hewitt last year. Also, the new customer receives $20.00 off having his/her the taxes prepared. Just call 1-800-234-1040 for the nearest location, give them my name (Kaiser Toa) and address (309 E. 1250 N., Layton, UT 84041) and Cindy’s information (Cindy Hare, employee # CIH, office # 16489, receipt # HZT18308, coupon code EK9FU) .

Oh, and enjoy your refund!

Genealogy

Doing genealogy can be one of those things on the list of priorities that can “sit on the shelf.”  The next thing you know, it’s years later and nothing has been done.  The first thing is to set aside some time for it and do something/ anything about it.  Yes, I am doing my something about my genealogy on Sundays.  I’m usually on a site called myfamily.com and it is has been a great resource to keep in touch and current with family who are spread out across the globe.  It’s just came up 1st on Google search results of about 65,600,000.  Like it says there, we have been enjoying the sharing of photos, videos, news and family trees, etc.  I like that it’s a private website and you participate by being invited by email.  I’m enjoying the 5 myfamily sites that I belong to:  three on my mother’s side (her mom, her mom’s father, her mom’s father’s father and her dad’s father) and one on my father’s side of the family (his mother).  I’m always interested in what’s going on especially to hear input from others on my entries.  One hot topic was the election of President Obama and although we had a lot of different opinions, in the end, we still had love and respect for each other.  Did I mention recipe’s?  I like those too especially the ones for food that I hadn’t had for years.  Did I say enjoying?  Yes, of course, because by the time I’m done reading and commenting it has been hours later.  It’s like the saying goes - Time flys when you are having fun.  I try to keep it down to one hour. Anything else?  Well, we’ve been having reunions here and there! Those are like the frosting on top of the cake that adds that extra something special.  I hope this information will be helpful to someone on geneology research and, as usual, I am open to suggestion/ comments.

“Bigger, Stronger, Faster”

This post is about fitness. Okay, it’s the end of February and the year is still new. How are our new years resolution(s) coming along? For me, I’ve always wanted to be buff and be able to run a marathon, etc. However, I need to become healthy again first. So, it is now day 3 of the 5 day cleans I’m doing to get rid of the toxin build up in my system. Also, at this very moment there are freshly baked cookies in the kitchen and other things too. These junk foods/sweets, all around me, are all calling to me to indulge. I try to remember the phrase that I am sick and tired of being sick and tired. I love food that is bad for me; the same stuff that builds up the toxins in the first place. I need to focus on and remember how I feel after I eat them and listen to my body!

I just watched a video from the local Hollywood Video called “Bigger, Stronger, Faster..” It’s the story of Chris Bell’s family and performance enhancements. I give it a thumbs up and have learned quite a bit about steriods. One of the main things I got was that I think I was falling for all the “ideal body” images again that are constantly presented to us everywhere including the Movies, TV, infomercials, etc. Golds Gym just sent me another email for a free 7-day membership. It’s so easy to get caught up in all that extreme stuff. There is nothing wrong with be just “healthier.”

Anyway, I like this guy on Youtube who goes by scooby and he gives free information about getting in shape without going to a gym. He is a bodybuilder and his information is very practical and basic. I don’t think he uses steriods. I could be wrong.

Okay, we need good food and movement everyday! Choose natural foods rather than “easy” foods. My daily half hour of movement could be walking for 15 minutes and then throwing a ball for the other 15. Oh, and note to self: remember, don’t get caught up in “the perfect body” image thing.

This is my 3rd post

OH NO! My friend already sold the car! What is the lesson of the day? I could have, should have, would have…ANYWAY! onward and forward, NEXT……

What’s up today? Well, busy with life as usual. I saw on Yahoo that this guy Curt Sleeper is selling his cave house in Missouri on eBay. He is selling it because of a 5 year balloon note now due and the current housing crisis. According to Curt, he has done a lot of work on it with love and built it stout; it naturally heats/cools so no such costs; has a fresh air environment; is comforting and peaceful. It has 3 bedrooms, kitchen and party room on 3 acres. The pictures showed a very attractive hardwood floor, high ceiling, nice stairway and beautiful entrance wall.

So, I went to eBay and searched with “cave” under real estate and there it was. Wow they really do have everything for sale on eBay! I’m impressed and would love to live in a one just like it but at a different location like on an island…like Hawaii. If you have seen the animated movie the Incredibles, the vilian’s hangout is on an island in a valcano; which I think is totally cool. Why do the bad guys have great stuff? Or, have you seen the movie Nim’s island? Though, not in a cave, the dwelling is very nice and on a rise, kind of in the trees, overlooking the very beautiful island.

Well, go and check it out yourself and let me know your throughts?

This is my 2nd post

It is about internet marketing.  Okay, I am “young” again and looking back on all the different opportunities for financial success it has been a long road and I would always find myself back in the “cycle.”  I mean going back to working for someone else.  Even though my life successes have not been financial, I believe that more can be accomplished by not having to spend 60 hours a week working at a job.  Personally, the job just gets in the way of spending valuable time enjoying life with my family.  That said, I have decided to spend a specific amount of time each day for internet marketing. Why?  Because I believe that internet marketing is the best place to generate residual/automatic income.  So now, after being information overloaded and going down different paths of the internet marketing maze, I believe that I am actually starting to see that I am going in the right direction.  The reason for this is the clear step by step course I am doing from John Thornhill.  As a visual person and pretty much a newbie to internet marketing, the video’s are a tremedous help.  I know and understand exactly what is being covered and am able to go back and review over and over again.  I can actually see what needs to be done.   This has helped me correct a few mistakes I made.   Basically, I am getting what I need - the basics.

This is my first post

Here is my first, it’s about eBay…Okay already, I know that eBay is an important tool. I did set up an account. Setting up the account was the easy part and now, a few months later, no auction yet. Frustrated? Yes, I am. HOWEVER, still hopeful. Have I figured out what is it that has been or is holding me back from using it? Why am I not taking the next step(s)? Yes, of course, I realize that the problem is me. Here are the a few examples of how I feel that I am getting in my own way:  first of all, I am the BIGGEST PROCRASTINATOR I know, second I do extremely well at WAISTING TIME by doing non-esential things and third I am easily DISTRACTED.

(deep breath) okay, AN OPPORTUNITY that may have passed:  I knew that a friend had a car to sell about 3 weeks ago and I thought that it would probably do well on eBay…well, I have been sitting on that one and…..I just need to do it! Follow up and follow through. Right, what are those sayings? “Easier said than done,” ” Knowing is half the battle.” “OH MY GOOOOODNEEEESS” an “inner drill sergeant” is awakening. What a stretch, but I will….I will taken action….I will today. Fellow procrastinators, I will let you know and keep you posted on what happens as a result of my ACTION. Hopefully, my friend has not sold the car already. With regards to “putting it off,” my new goal is the take action the same day that I get the idea.

New idea just arrived:  new daily goal of spending at least 20 minutes a day on eBay and carry out one action.

And yes I am a total newbie! and, yes, I welcome any suggestions/comments.  Enjoy your day and make it great!
